Southern Colorado is likely to experience severe weather today, with hail and flash flooding possible. Cooler temperatures are expected, but there is still plenty of energy and moisture for thunderstorms. The more sun and heating, the better chance of severe weather. Some areas have already experienced hail large enough to leave dents in vehicles. After today's storms, the region is expected to dry out and become sunny and hot for the weekend and into next week.
