"Powerful East Coast Storm Threatens Weekend Travel with Wind, Rain, and Snow"

An East Coast storm is expected to bring strong winds, soaking rain, and some snow over the weekend. Flood watches are in effect for cities like New York City, Philadelphia, and Hartford, Connecticut, with the potential for over two inches of rain. High wind watches are also in effect for parts of Maine and Massachusetts. The storm system could spawn severe thunderstorms in the South on Saturday before spreading rain into the East on Saturday night. The wettest and windiest period will be from late Sunday into Monday morning. Snowfall totals in the interior Northeast will be modest, but slippery travel is expected on Monday. Some NFL games in the East may be impacted by rain and windy conditions on Sunday.
