"New England Towns Grapple with Double Power Outages Amid Winter Snowstorm"

Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, was hit hard by power outages during a snowstorm, with as many as 75% of customers losing power twice on Sunday. At one point, about 4,000 customers were without power, and nearby communities also reported scattered outages. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reported more than 14,000 customers without power statewide. A warming shelter at Tyngsborough Elementary School was opened to assist residents affected by the outages.
