Late-season storm brings snow and sub-freezing temperatures to Northern California and Reno-Tahoe area.

Some chain controls are in effect in the Sierra as a weather system brings another round of snow to the area, with 1-2 inches of additional snowfall expected on Tuesday and showers winding down at night. The Valley may see a stray shower in the afternoon, but likely no measurable rain. Snow has got down to as low as 4,000 feet, but nothing is really sticking there. Above 6,000 feet is where snow tends to stick. The rest of the week is dry, and temperatures will warm up.
