"Dust Storms Sweep Across Arizona's East Valley and Counties: Monsoon Watch"

After a "nonsoon" streak, the Phoenix area experienced its first big monsoon storm on July 17, bringing blowing dust and reduced visibility to parts of the far East Valley. Tucson also saw stormy weather with rain and blowing dust, causing power outages and damage.
