"Denver and Colorado's Front Range Bracing for Major Snowstorm, Schools Closed"

A heavy snowstorm is expected to hit Denver and Colorado's Front Range on Thursday, with the possibility of the heaviest snowstorm in the area in the last 3 years. Three weather systems are converging, bringing strong upslope winds and significant snowfall, with the Denver metro area potentially seeing 10 to 20 inches of snow and up to 4 feet in the Front Range foothills and Palmer Divide. A Winter Storm Warning is in place, and travel is discouraged as driving conditions will be very difficult. Southern areas of the state are also under warnings and advisories for heavy snow.
