Coastal Storm Causes Widespread Flooding and Rainfall Records in New Jersey

A powerful coastal storm has brought heavy rainfall to New Jersey, with some areas receiving as much as 4 to 5 inches of rain. Preliminary reports show widespread areas of 2 to 3 inches of rain across the state. The storm follows another one from the previous week that dropped 2 to 4 inches of rain. Rainfall totals are still being updated, but some of the highest amounts have been recorded in towns such as Oakland, Ridgewood, Estell Manor, and Long Valley.
