A flash flood watch remains in effect for central and southern counties of Alabama overnight, with a tornado watch issued for some areas in Southwest Alabama until 9:00 tonight. While severe storms are possible in the far southern part of the state, the northern areas are expected to remain stable. Showers and storms may linger in Southeast Alabama tomorrow morning, but the rest of the state will be dry with some afternoon clearing. Sunday will be sunny and cool, with temperatures dropping into the 30s over the northern 2/3 of Alabama next week.
