"Alabama Schools Close Early Due to Severe Weather Threat"

Due to the risk of severe weather, including tornadoes, straight-line winds, and heavy rain, several Alabama schools are closing early and switching to remote learning on Wednesday. Flood watches have been issued for the state, with some areas expected to receive up to half a foot of rain through Thursday. The Level 4 risk areas include Choctaw, Washington, and parts of Mobile, Clarke, and Marengo counties, but severe weather could occur outside of those areas.
