Cruise Passengers Return to Devastated Cars After Storm

Dozens of Carnival Cruise passengers who returned to port in Charleston, South Carolina were shocked to find that a massive storm had destroyed their cars. The rough seas during the five-day trip made the cruise itself unpleasant, and the flooding from the storm added insult to injury. Many passengers were unaware of Charleston's susceptibility to flooding and were caught off guard due to a lack of cell service. Carnival Cruise and the South Carolina Ports Authority have provided some assistance to affected passengers, but ultimately, the responsibility lies with the parking authorities.
