Carnival Cruise Passengers Return to Devastated Cars After Storm

Dozens of Carnival Cruise passengers returning to port in Charleston, South Carolina were shocked to find that a massive storm had destroyed their cars, which were parked in a garage. The passengers, who had already dealt with rough seas throughout the five-day trip, were unaware of the flooding due to lack of cell service and news updates. Many expressed frustration at the lack of information and assistance from Carnival. The South Carolina Ports Authority provided support to the affected passengers, including documentation for insurance claims and assistance with towing, jump-starting vehicles, and finding transportation to hotels.
