Seattle Ferry Grounding Results in No Injuries

A passenger ferry carrying 596 passengers and 15 crew members ran aground near Bainbridge Island west of Seattle on Saturday, but there were no reports of injuries or contamination. The ferry suffered a generator failure, according to Washington State Ferries. Passengers were initially kept onboard, but Kitsap Transit began taking others off the boat around 8 p.m. The Seattle-Bremerton route was out of service until further notice.
