Kentucky College Settles for $14 Million in Heat Death Case.

The University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky has agreed to a settlement of over $14m after the death of student wrestler Grant Brace during practice from heat stroke after he begged for water and was refused. The settlement includes an agreement for the university to participate in a heat-illness training program and to help raise awareness of heat-related injuries. Brace's death was "tragic and entirely avoidable", according to the lawsuit.
