Grand Haven's Inaugural Pride Festival Draws Thousands and Celebrates LGBTQ+ Community.

Grand Haven, Michigan held its first-ever Pride festival, sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church, which drew thousands of people from across the state to celebrate the LGBTQI+ community. The festival featured a drag show, music, vendor fair, and kids activity corner. Despite pushback from some community members, the festival was approved unanimously by the city council in mid-April. The event was fenced off for alcohol consumption and local food vendors.
