Toddler Killed, Mother Injured as Tree Falls on Livonia Home During Storm

A 2-year-old was killed and his mother critically injured when a tree fell on their home in Livonia, Michigan, during severe weather that included an EF-1 tornado. A 2-month-old in the home was unharmed. The storm also caused significant damage in the area, including the collapse of a gas station canopy in Farmington Hills, injuring one person. Livonia officials are assessing the damage and have asked residents to report downed trees.
