US House Passes Republican-Led Ban on Transgender Student Athletes

The US House of Representatives passed a Republican bill aimed at banning transgender women and girls from participating in women's and girls' school sports. The bill, which has little chance of passing the Democratic-controlled Senate, would change Title IX to require that a student's sex be "based on an individual's reproductive biology and genetics at birth."
