Uncertainty looms over Julie Su's nomination for U.S. Labor Secretary.

President Biden's nominee for Labor Department secretary, Julie Su, may not have enough support to be confirmed due to concerns raised by Sen. Joe Manchin III and opposition from the business community. If one more Democrat votes against her, or even misses the vote, her nomination will fail. Su, who is currently the Labor Department's deputy secretary, has been praised by unions and the Democratic Party establishment for her advocacy for immigrants and low-wage workers. Her confirmation hearing is scheduled for April 20.
