Attorneys for former President Donald Trump have filed a motion seeking to have Judge Juan Merchan recused from the Manhattan criminal case against him, accusing the judge of having conflicts. The motion alleges that Merchan has "significant conflicts" and seeks to have him step aside in the case. Trump has complained on social media that Merchan "hates me." The Manhattan District Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The criminal trial has been set for March 2024.
