Saint Anselm College, which hosted Donald Trump's recent CNN town hall, has condemned the former president for his "deeply troubling" comments and the audience's reactions to them. Trump was asked about the civil trial between him and writer E Jean Carroll, in which he was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation. He denied the allegations, to laughter from the crowd. The college criticised both Trump's comments and the audience's reaction, saying it does not tolerate sexual misconduct of any kind. However, the college defended its decision to host the event, saying it has a long history of participating in the democratic process and hosting political events.
