The Dangerous Intersection of Transphobia and Violence.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's congressional Twitter account was suspended for seven days for violating Twitter's rules on "violent speech" after sharing an image of a poster promoting an April 1 protest organized by a group called Our Rights DC that seeks to "Stop Trans Genocide." Greene's personal Twitter account remains active. The suspension comes after a transgender former student killed six people in Nashville, and Greene suggested hormone therapy could be to blame for the shooting. Greene's personal Twitter account was permanently suspended in January 2022 for repeatedly violating the company's policies on posting misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic.
