The Continuing Fallout of Trump's Presidency: A Look at Investigations and Defunding Measures.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene plans to introduce a measure to defund special counsel Jack Smith's investigations into former President Donald Trump, alleging that it is a weaponized government attempt to take down Trump. Smith is investigating Trump over his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol Building and has also accused him of mishandling classified White House documents. Greene's proposal seems to have the backing of some of her congressional colleagues, including Rep. Matt Gaetz and Rep. Andy Biggs.
