Texas Governor's Pardon of Protester's Killer Sparks Controversy.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott's promise to pardon convicted murderer Daniel Perry, who killed Garrett Foster during a protest in Austin, has been called "deeply troubling" by Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza. Perry has been found guilty of murder but not guilty of aggravated assault and has not yet been sentenced. Abbott has instructed the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to expedite its review of the case and has promised to sign a pardon recommendation as soon as it hits his desk.
