'Stay Woke Florida!' tour launches massive voter outreach campaign.

The "Stay Woke Florida!" tour, organized by the Florida NAACP and five other progressive groups, has begun a five-day, 15-city "rolling protest" across Florida to protest bills approved during this year's legislative session and urge voters to turn out in 2024. The legislation includes policies limiting critical race theory in higher ed, additional teaching bans on sexual orientation and gender identity in public schools, and defunding diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. The group considers the legislation hostile towards women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community and aims to inspire voters to engage in the political process to fight against it.
