Scranton Asks Biden: Will You Run in 2024?

Despite strong ties to Joe Biden, many Scranton voters harbor deep concerns about his age and health if he were to run for re-election in 2024. Interviews with about two dozen Scranton voters show that they might back Biden again, albeit without much enthusiasm. The lack of fervor in Scranton may be an early warning sign for the Democratic Party, as national polls show Democrats want a younger candidate. Biden's approval rating remains quite low but edged up to 42% in a Reuters/Ipsos poll this month.
