Rhode Island officials face accusations of racist and sexist behavior on Philadelphia trip.

Two Rhode Island government officials, David Patten and James Thorsen, have been accused of racist, sexist, and unprofessional behavior during a business trip to Philadelphia by a development company contracted to redevelop an area of Providence. Patten was also accused of sexual harassment. The allegations sparked an investigation into Patten by the Rhode Island State Police and the human resources department. Patten has been on paid leave since March 13. Thorsen left his position in April.
