Republicans Seek Impeachment of Michigan's Democratic Attorney General

Eight Republican state representatives in Michigan have introduced articles of impeachment against Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel, accusing her of malfeasance of office, malicious prosecution, violating her oath of office, and corruption. However, the resolution is unlikely to be adopted as Democrats hold a majority in the House. The Republicans claim that Nessel failed to charge individuals tied to irregular voter registration forms and brought politically motivated charges against Republicans involved in submitting false electoral votes for former President Donald Trump. Nessel's office has denied the allegations.
