Nebraska's Controversial Abortion and Trans Care Legislation Sparks Protests and Arrests.

Six protesters were arrested at the Nebraska state capitol in Lincoln as the state legislature passed the Let Them Grow Act, which bans gender-affirming surgery for minors and abortions after the 12th week of pregnancy. The protesters were throwing what appeared to be bloody tampons from the balcony. The bill provides exceptions for abortions after 12 weeks in cases of ectopic pregnancies, rape, incest, or medical emergencies. The governor has expressed support for the bill, which is expected to become law.
