"Nashville Council Reinstates Ousted Lawmaker Justin Jones"

The Nashville Metro Council has unanimously voted to temporarily reinstate Democrat Justin Jones to his seat in the Tennessee House after he was expelled last week for leading gun reform protests on the chamber floor. Jones will hold the seat until a special election can be held. Black leaders have called the move racist and hypocritical, as two other lawmakers who participated in the protest were also expelled, while a white lawmaker escaped expulsion.
