Minnesota's New State Flag Design: Finalized and Ready to Fly

Minnesota's State Emblems Redesign Commission has adopted a new design for the state flag, but it still needs to submit its final report to the Legislature by Jan. 1. Republican legislators upset about the flag redesign process plan to make it an issue in the next legislative session. The flag design, featuring an abstract shape of the state with a North Star and light blue to represent water, may be available for purchase before it starts flying atop government buildings.
