Kamala Harris: Making History with Tiebreaking Senate Votes

Vice President Kamala Harris matched the record for most tiebreaking votes in the U.S. Senate, casting her 31st tiebreaker vote to advance the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The only other vice president to cast as many tiebreakers was John C. Calhoun. Harris expressed that there is still much work to be done and hopes to not be the last to achieve such milestones.
