John Eastman faces disbarment over Trump election plot.

Greg Jacob, former counsel to Vice President Mike Pence, testified at attorney John Eastman's California disbarment proceedings about the Jan. 6 email exchange between him and Eastman. Jacob was drafting an email rejecting Eastman's claim that Pence could postpone the count of electoral votes when the Capitol was breached by rioters. Jacob testified that Pence had already decided not to interrupt the counting of presidential electors by Jan. 2, 2021. Eastman had pushed the notion that Pence could keep Trump in power, but Jacob and Pence rejected the idea. Jacob also believed that the mob was motivated by the false hope that Pence could determine the outcome of the election.
