Jan. 6 Riot Gets Musical Makeover to Please Trump

Former President Donald Trump and his allies are using a recording of the Star-Spangled Banner, titled "Justice for All," to rewrite the history of the deadly Capitol riot. The song, recorded over a prison phone line by a group of defendants jailed over their alleged roles in the insurrection, features Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Despite its low fidelity, the song briefly reached No. 1 on iTunes and has been embraced by Trump and his supporters. Experts say the song is another example of how Trump and his allies are trying to gloss over evidence proving the Capitol riot was anything but an act of patriotic resistance.
