Indiana Governor Signs Controversial Transgender School Pronoun Bill

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has signed a bill requiring schools to inform parents if their children ask to change their name or pronouns in classrooms. The bill also prohibits instruction on "human sexuality" for students in kindergarten through third grade. The law comes amid a wave of new legislation affecting LGBTQ rights in the US, with 16 states, including Indiana, recently banning or restricting access to gender-affirming care.
