Indian American Lawmakers Warn of Risks to US-India Partnership in Foiled Assassination Plot

Indian American Members of Congress, including U.S. Representatives Ami Bera, Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Shri Thanedar, released a statement expressing concern over the indictment of Nikhil Gupta, an Indian government official, in connection with a foiled plot to assassinate a U.S. citizen in New York City. They appreciate the Biden Administration's briefing on the matter and call for a thorough investigation by the Government of India to hold those responsible accountable and ensure the incident does not harm the U.S.-India partnership.
