Federal Judge Strikes Down Key Parts of New Jersey Gun Laws.

A federal judge has blocked much of New Jersey's recently enacted gun carry law, including the requirement for gun carriers to purchase liability insurance and the prohibition of carrying guns in certain public locations. The judge's order applies for the duration of the litigation and expands upon prior court orders that temporarily blocked parts of the new law. Attorney General Matt Platkin plans to appeal the decision, while gun-rights groups see it as evidence that the new law is in legal trouble.
