Ex-Republican Judge: Trump's Insurrection Justifies Removal from Illinois Ballot

Retired Republican Judge Clark Erickson has recommended barring Donald Trump from the Illinois primary ballot, citing "absolutely damning" evidence of his involvement in the Capitol attack and insurrection. However, Erickson concluded that the elections board lacks the power to remove Trump, deferring the issue to the courts. The recommendation will be voted on by the Illinois Board of Elections, and the U.S. Supreme Court will also consider Trump's eligibility in the Colorado primary ballot case on February 8.
