"Ex-"QAnon Shaman" Seeks Congressional Seat"

Jacob Chansley, also known as the "QAnon Shaman," who gained notoriety for his role in the January 6th Capitol riot, has filed a candidate statement of interest to run as a Libertarian in Arizona's 8th Congressional District. Chansley, who pleaded guilty to obstructing an official proceeding, is currently serving a prison sentence but is eligible to run for federal office. He disavowed the QAnon movement and identified himself as Jacob Angeli-Chansley in the paperwork.
