Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has warned that Haitian migrants fleeing violence may be sent to Democratic strongholds like Martha’s Vineyard, as part of a mass busing program away from border states. With Florida being close to Haiti, DeSantis has deployed resources to patrol the South Florida waterways and recently intercepted a boat carrying 25 Haitian refugees, including children, along with firearms, night vision goggles, and drugs. DeSantis stated that he needs to defend his state and has enough issues dealing with people fleeing from blue states moving to Florida.
