California Lawmaker Arrested for DUI While Running for Congress

California State Senator Dave Min, who is running for Congress, was arrested for a misdemeanor DUI in Sacramento. The California Highway Patrol stopped his car after noticing it was driving without headlights on and saw him run a red light. Min showed signs of being intoxicated and was booked into the Sacramento County Jail. He has since apologized for his actions and accepted full responsibility. Min is the chair of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water and is running for the congressional seat held by Rep. Katie Porter in Orange County.
