"California Governor Gavin Newsom Faces Opposition Over Proposition 1 Revival"

Opponents of Proposition 1 have withdrawn their concession and are launching a campaign to find and fix rejected ballots, as Gov. Gavin Newsom's mental health ballot measure barely leads. The opponents are refocusing their efforts to help voters confirm their ballots were counted and to assist voters whose ballots were rejected, in response to a similar effort by Newsom's political action committee. The vote count has tightened, with about 7 million ballots counted and some 220,000 left to be tallied, and there are still about 42,500 voters with time to fix signature problems with their ballots.
