2024 Presidential Debates: Dates, Locations, and Uncertainties

The Commission on Presidential Debates has announced the dates and locations for the 2024 vice presidential debate and three presidential debates, which will be held at select colleges and universities. For the first time, a historically Black college or university (HBCU), Virginia State University, will host a general election presidential debate on October 1, 2024. The first presidential debate is scheduled for September 16 at Texas State University, followed by the vice presidential debate on September 25 at Lafayette College. The second presidential debate will take place on October 1 at Virginia State University, and the third presidential debate will be held on October 9 at the University of Utah.
