Deadly Tornado Hits South Texas, Leaving Homes Damaged and People Injured.

A tornado hit the community of Laguna Heights in southern Texas, killing one person and damaging around 60 homes. At least 10 people were hospitalized, and a curfew was imposed for those 17 and under. The tornado was categorized as an EF1 tornado with wind speeds of 86-110 mph and lasted for about two to four minutes. The area is not prone to having tornados, and there was no advance warning. The county judge signed a disaster declaration, and a temporary shelter in the nearby city of Port Isabel was providing help to 38 people.
