California Homes on the Brink: Landslides and Collapses Threaten Residents.

Residents of four residential structures in San Clemente, California, were evacuated after a hillside at the rear of the properties collapsed. The owner of the multi-unit apartment building said the whole hill is struggling to hold. Landslides have been an issue for the entirety of the city’s coastline areas, exacerbated by erosion. No injuries have been reported, but the land beneath the structures is still sliding down the hill. Buena Vista, from Avenida Florencio to Calle Colina and the trail below, have been closed.
