Space Force Chief Criticizes Mission Statement as Inadequate.

Chief of Space Operations Gen. Chance Saltzman has expressed concerns over the current mission statement of the Space Force, stating that it falls short of explaining the vital functions Guardians perform. He has asked members to submit their own suggestions for a new mission statement that is informative, memorable, inclusive, and receives buy-in. The Space Force is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping Guardians to conduct global space operations that enhance the way joint and coalition forces fight, while also offering decision-makers military options to achieve national objectives.
