Mother of Jan. 6 Officer Swatted After Son Criticizes Trump

Former D.C. police officer Michael Fanone, who was attacked during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, says his 78-year-old mother was the victim of a swatting call hours after he spoke against former President Donald Trump outside his trial in New York. Fanone, a vocal critic of the Capitol rioters and Trump, reported that police surrounded his mother's home in Fairfax County, Virginia, following false reports of an active shooter. Fanone claims this incident is part of a pattern of threats he receives when he speaks out about Jan. 6.
