The United States and South Korea have issued a joint statement warning North Korea that any nuclear attack against them or their allies will result in the end of the Kim Jong Un regime, emphasizing a swift and decisive response. The warning comes as North Korea launches a new tactical nuclear attack submarine and continues to develop and test ballistic missiles capable of reaching South Korea, Japan, and the U.S. mainland. The two countries are committed to sharing more insight into planning in the event of conflict with North Korea and will convene the third U.S.-Republic of Korea Nuclear Consultative Group next summer.
