China's Aggressive Military Actions Near Taiwan Escalate

China has sent navy ships and a large group of fighter jets toward Taiwan, continuing its military pressure on the island. Taiwan's defense ministry reported that 33 warplanes and 6 navy vessels were sent by China, with fighter jets crossing the midline and sailing southwest of Taiwan. In response, Taiwan has been bolstering its defenses by purchasing weapons and fighter jets, and the US recently announced a $345 million arms sale to Taiwan.
