Louisiana's largest hospital system, Ochsner Health, has laid off 800 staff, citing financial and workforce challenges, high inflation, and the end of pandemic relief funding from the government. The roles cut were mainly management and non-direct patient care roles. No physicians were impacted, and those with active clinical credentials will be offered direct patient care roles.
