Rare Case: Woman Pregnant in Both Uteruses

A woman in Alabama with a double uterus is pregnant in both, a very rare occurrence that has shocked doctors and garnered attention for a case study. Kelsey Hatcher, who already has three children, discovered she was carrying twins during her first ultrasound. Each uterus has its own cervix, making her pregnancy high-risk. Only about 1% of women have two uteri, and the probability of having a twin in each is extremely low. The babies, both girls, are growing as expected, but their delivery may be complicated as each uterus could start contracting at different times.
