Record-breaking attendance at 2023 NY State Fair signals post-pandemic success

The final attendance at the 2023 New York State Fair exceeded the post-pandemic years, with a total of 932,699 people attending the 13-day event. However, this falls short of pre-pandemic attendance levels, where more than 1 million people attended annually. The muggy weather on the last day may have affected attendance, with 72,529 people visiting, over 20,000 less than the peak attendance over the weekend. Nevertheless, the fair's attendance has been on the rise, surpassing last year's total by over 50,000 fairgoers and exceeding 2021 attendance by 134,604 people.
